We Believe

We are Independent.

We are not part of any national organization or convention.

We are Bible-Based.

We believe the Bible literally.

Our Mission Statement:

We exist to inspire and instruct ordinary people to become extraordinary followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Doctrinal Statement:

The Scriptures

We welcome you to study from your choice of Bible; however because of its textual reliability, the Authorized King James Version of the Bible is the official English Bible used by Palmetto Land Church.

(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 12:6-7)

Sovereign God

There is One living and true God, revealed to us as the Creator of the universe. God is a person, eternally existing as a Trinity in unity -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- three Persons and yet one God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 John 5:7)

The Son

Jesus Christ is the eternally existing, only begotten Son of God who became a sinless man to redeem us. He was born of a virgin and is truly God and man.
(Luke 1:30-47; John 1:1-14; Philippians 2:5-8; John 10:30)

Service

The local church is a group of baptized believers, banded together for the five-fold purpose of fellowship, worship, serving, discipleship, and evangelism as commanded in God's Word.
(Acts 2:37-47; Matthew 28:16-20)

Sin

Man was created in the image of God but fell through sin, which brought not only physical death, but also spiritual death or eternal separation from God. Humankind is a fallen race with an inherited sinful nature.
(Genesis 2:16-17; Genesis 3:14-19; Romans 3:10-23; Romans 6:23a)

Sacrifice

The Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died as the substitutionary payment for the sins of the world. He physically arose from the dead and ascended into heaven. Simple faith in His sacrifice is the only way of salvation.
(Luke 24; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 5:8-10; 1 Peter 3:18)

Salvation

Salvation is by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ our Savior.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:13; John 3:16; John 14:6)

Security

All the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are secure in Christ forever.
(John 6:37-40; John 10:27-30; 1 Corinthians 1:4-8; 1 Peter 1:3-5)

Baptism

Baptism is the immersion of believers in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. This represents the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and also pictures the believer's death to sin and new life in Christ. Biblical baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision. Baptism takes place by choice, after a salvation experience, and is necessary for church membership.
(Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 2:37-38; Romans 6:3-6)
